Best Christmas Present EVER!!!

On Sunday I got the best Christmas present ever! Sorry Betsy it wasn't from you, although your present rocked! No Mom and Dad it wasn't yours either, but a great gift. This gift didn't come from the store or cost anyone a dime. CAMERON WENT TO NURSERY!!! Our 6th child is in nursery! I sat in our Primary class with no baby to watch run around. I sat in Relief Society and heard the lesson, I actually got to open my scriptures and read along without a little hand trying to rip my pages out. He's been with me through a year of teaching YW and now 3 months of teaching Primary. It's not easy to teach when you have a screaming baby.

Some people say it's sad that my baby is going to nursery. I say, "Almost 14 years of wrestling babies in church is enough!" I think that's why we ended up with 6 kids, so we'd be so tired we wouldn't mourn them growing up. I love to see them reach new milestones and learn new things. It's so fun to watch Cameron run around like he's one of the boys. He loves to go downstairs when the boys are playing video games and just hang out. He's been walking around like he's hot stuff since Sunday. He didn't cry in nursery until I came to pick him up. I think it had a lot to do with Jessie being in there with him. Hopefully next Sunday will go just as smoothly. By the way, Ash you still have to get me a Christmas present. I earned this one!

Annie is singing!

FYI - Tomorrow night, Dec. 18th, at 7:30pm Annie will be performing in her chorus concert. It's at Diamond Fork Jr. High. Mom heard them perform at the mall in Orem and said they were great. If you're in the area stop on by. She'll be totally embarrassed! We love to embarrass our 13 year old!

December - the craziest month of our year!

December is crazy around here! I'm sure it's crazy everywhere with Christmas. Our family has 2 bonuses - Tyler & Matthew. It's their birthdays this month. Matthew's was on the 2nd and Tyler's is tomorrow. I thought having babies in December was bad, but this is worse! Their birthdays are so close that I have to be careful that they are even. They've had one friend birthday party, we combined them together and had over 15 little boys running around the house. We haven't done it again. I keep saying we'll do it in the summer but that hasn't happened either. Maybe this next summer. I think one of the hardest parts is that all their gifts for the year come within one month. With the other kids we can say, "ask for the bike for your birthday", or "we'll get you some new clothes for your birthday." Not these two.

On the bright side of things: I am already buying presents for Christmas so what's 2 birthdays on top of it. The house is decorated, not for birthdays but it's festive. The best part is we have Matthew & Tyler in our family! The older they get the funner they get. They are learning and growing a lot right now. They are good boys. And big boys!

Matthew is sensitive, especially to younger kids. He's great at art and is learning to use Adobe Illustrator on the computer. (it's a professional graphic design program.) He loves to make other people laugh. I think he'll take after both of his Grandpas and tell jokes the rest of his life. He loves sports especially playing with Annie & Tyler. When he's playing football with Ash he starts laughing his head off whenever he catches the ball. Good thing he plays defensive line. He's a gentle giant. Soon he'll be taller than me. He can't wait, he's only a few inches shorter now. He's excited to be playing basketball this winter.

Tyler is good at just about everything he tries. He's great at school and sports. His biggest issue is humility. He can be one of my best helpers. He loves to clean the stove top. He started that when I was in the hospital having Jessie. He's very silly, ask any of his teachers. He just started basketball practice for his city league team that Ash is coaching. Games start around Jan. 10th. He's very excited! He's getting his Wolf award for scouts on Wednesday. Way to go me, I mean Ty!

So Happy Birthday Matthew & Tyler! We love you and are grateful you are here. Couldn't you have come in November?

Cameron & the Christmas Tree

Yesterday I got the Christmas tree up in the front room. Cameron was very excited about the tree. He was jabbering on and on about it. I couldn't understand anything except the word "tree". As I'm hanging decorations on the tree I hear Cameron blowing on the tree. I look down and he's blowing on the lights. I'm thinking, "What is he doing?" then I remember Matthew's birthday was Tuesday and he blew out his birthday candles. Cameron is trying to blow out the lights on the tree! He was blowing so hard I thought he'd pass out! I've had 5 other kids around Christmas trees and never had anyone try to blow out the lights. Way to go Cameron - keeping Mommy surprised after all these kids! He also tried to eat the bead garland, I have seen that one before 5 other kids worth. Of course the bottom of the tree has been re-decorate a few times in the last 24 hours. Nothing like Christmas with toddlers!!! Good thing they are so cute! Now I get to go change Cameron's diaper. Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is no more diapers!!!! I am so close, yet so far away!
